Francesco Mazzeo Rinaldi
Francesco Mazzeo Rinaldi teaches evaluation research and programming courses in the Social and Political Science department of the University of Catania. He is also currently affiliate professor at the KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and the Built Environment, Stockholm. In the last 15 years he carried out training, research and consulting activities on program and policy evaluation in several regional, national and international public organizations in the domains of social, development and R&D policy. His research interests also include the use of Big Bata and Machine Learning in public decision-making and evaluation research. From 2006 to 2013, member of the Public Investment Evaluation Unit of Sardinia Region (NUVVP). From 2013 to 2017 Vice President and Treasurer of the Italian Evaluation Society. From 2013 to 2017 part of the Network of Evaluation Societies in Europe (NESE). From 2014 to 2018 Member of the Oversight Evaluation Committee of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2012 president and CEO of Bench Srl, academic Spin-Off of the University of Catania. Since 2013 member of the research network INTEVAL (International research group on policy and program evaluation). Since 2017 associated editor of the Italian Evaluation Journal (RIV).
